PROCESSING OF NEW BOOKS
The processing of 572 boxes of new books
received in Library on 30th June, 2012 has started on Tuesday 3rd
July, 2012. The Library staff are now
doing a very tedious job of processing these books and they can process 5 boxes
of books per day which is equal to 150 books per day. The processing activities
of these new books includes stamping, listing/Accessioning, cataloguing and classification,
other activities such as labeling, pocketing, spinning and card c catalogue
filing will be done later on.
